James Bater qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, in 2003. Having previously worked across South Wales at practices in Dinas Powys, Bridgend and Skewen, James has now settled in uSmile Dental Practice Porthcawl. He began working at uSmile in 2012. James took over as Principal Dentist and Owner at uSmile Dental Practice Porthcawl, in April 2015.
James is interested in all aspects of dentistry and is motivated to continue providing the highest standards of care and customer service the patients at uSmile have become accustomed to over the past 30 years. James is a member of the Local Dental Committee, representing dentists across ABMU, since 2013.
Having grown up in South Wales, James naturally has an affinity with rugby. He enjoyed a successful 10 year career as a professional rugby player, representing Swansea RFC, the Ospreys and the Scarlets, as well as gaining full international honours for Wales in 2003.
Away from the practice, James has a passion for all sport and especially enjoys cycling, skiing and golf.
James Bater is registered with the NHS in ABMU Health Authority, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and is registered as a Denplan practitioner
