Tony qualified BDS from Cardiff in 1982, and 2 years later took over the dental practice opposite the police station in Porthcawl, where he remained Principal Dentist and Owner until April 2015.
Tony is enthusiastic about maintaining the highest standards of care in the practice. He takes a particular interest in saving teeth instead of extracting them and says he really enjoys winning the trust of nervous patients – who can then come to the dentist smiling and relaxed.
Although he’s not one to blow his own trumpet, here are some of Tony’s professional achievements:
Tony spent 7 years as a Trainer and Mentor sharing his knowledge and experience with newly qualified dentists. Tony spent 12 years on the Local Dental Committee, stepping down in 2015.
Tony is a strong Christian and family man, who brings his ethics into the Practice and also enjoys kayaking. He now spends a lot of his spare time researching and writing.
Tony is registered with the NHS in ABMU Health Authority, with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and is a registered Denplan practitioner.
